It’s been a while since I posted my work on tumblr but I’m still learning. I’m still learning how to take photos and I’m glad I have people that I look up to on Instagram that give me advice on how to shoot the right photo or at least learn their own style. I been taking photos ever since my father gifted me a DSLR back in the 9th grade which was about 5 years ago. It took me until now to learn all the programs and modes in the DSLR and the perfect settings for each shots. I been a huge fan of Apple and their camera, it’s pretty much crack but a technological device. I been shooting with my iPhone 5-5s and I progressed so much over the years. I looked back at my old photos and questioned myself numerous times. Over-doing your photos really kills everything and that’s what I done for a few years just taking out the life of a photo. I learned in 2013 to keep it simple. I been following a lot of photographers on Instagram and they mainly do portraits of people or urban photography which is what I been trying to do as of lately. I have this idea of telling a story in every picture, I have this vision that I can release a photography book or make it out there. I’m really happy with how far I progressed and I’m still trying to become better. I have friends that taught me and ones that I looked after. February 28, 2014. I received an email from VSCO Cam about my photo that I submitted made it to their website or photo grid and I wanted to die of happiness. The amount of competition with other photographers is insane with VSCO, to have my picture displayed on their grid is a true blessing and it only makes me want to do more. I want to thank VSCO Cam for giving me an opportunity to let my work shine on their website, hopefully I get to collaborate with other New York photographers that also have a dream of making it. You just need to keep dreaming.
